Timing Chain Tensioner 318/360

Have any of you ever encountered a used Magnum engine with the tensioner worn down significantly? I wonder if this is actually of any concern...

With a stock timing set they work fine. With some roller chains the plastic tensioner gets eaten up and deposited in the oil pan.
