Timing?

I'm new to this forum i just found out about it i usually go to slantsix.org but i thought I'd check this site out for a while. but anyway my car is really slow off the line and i know it should be better so i was told i should adjust the timing. how?

Welcome to the site jmccabe. I would recommend buying a factory service manual for your year/model car and giving it a good read. They are a valuable source for most everything on your car.
