To mill, or not to mill ?

Hi Guys,
Long time reader, first time poster !

I have a question on the Air-Gap.
i have seen some shots of the centre split section being milled by about 1-2 inches ?
I recall this being done by a magazine build also but forget which one.
Would this be a good thing to have done ? or would the difference not be that noticable.

I am in the process of putting together a 408.
750hp ultra
Rhs heads
Cam to be determined...
Scat cast
icons
eagle h beams.

Its going in a street/strip car aprox 3000 lb.

I'd leave it alone. If you want the same affect stick a 1/2" open spacer under the carb.

It's also cheaper and easily reversed.

I agree. Once the metal's gone, it's gone. That would really suck if it did NOT make an improvement. Even worse if it went the other way.
