Torque boxes

Hello. I have 2 H code 70 dart swingers. The 4 speed is early production and the front of the rear leef springs is boxed in. The auto matic swinger is late production and the front of the rear spring is not boxed in. Whats with that. Most 318 cars are not boxed in. Thanks Ken

From what I unedrstand for the most part 4 speed cars got the boxes autos did not.

i agree it was more a 4 speed thing.
