torque converter help?

i have a 73 340 duster with 9.75 comp eddy rpm heads. eddy rpm cam.3.91 gears. it is primarily a street car.it has a quick fuel dp carb.the weight is 3400 with driver.what stall speed do i need?my car sounds great but if i idle it down to hear the cam it dies when i put it in gear.i think the tc is stock.please help1500-6500 RPMDuration Advertised308° Intake/318° ExhaustDuration @ .050''234° Intake/244° ExhaustLift @ Valve.488'' Intake/.510'' ExhaustLift @ Cam.325'' Intake/.340'' ExhaustLobe Separation Angle112°Intake Centerline107°Intake Timing @ .050" Open 10° BTDC

I have the same cam in my 318. I have 410 gears, same weight and I run a turbo action 3500 stall and love it!

I'd go a little lower around 3000-3200 lets say (especially for the street), are you running a single or dual plane intake.

it is a street car,i plan on an od tranny next year but i need to get a converter for now.its an rpm air gap duel plane.

Definitely give Ultimate and these guys a call http://www.turboaction.com/frame.html and give them all your particulars and they'll recommend what you need. I'd also be curious what they recommend to see how close I got.
