So I searched the forums and couldn't find a definitive answer ....
Does anyone run the 11" wilwood front disc set up 140-11023 with 15" Torque thrust D wheels? From what I can tell, they will fit and clear fine, but I can't find anything as far as the tall cone of the wilwood hub fitting behind the center cap. Thanks!

Have you bought either the brake kit or the wheels yet?

Those hubs definitely limit your wheel choices.
Which steering knuckle will you be using? Wilwood shows three different kits, each with a different hub, depending on whether you are using 9" or 10" drum knuckles or 1973-'76 disc knuckles. You might be able to get detailed dimensions from Wilwood and see if American Racing will give you the same for the Torque Thrust D's. If no one here has your answer, you should probably contact both companies and ask if they know.

Having said that, there are brake kits available that are probably better for street cars available for less money. No problem fitting Torque Thrusts. Check Brakes .

Well, American racing finally got back to me. They said the depth of the center cap from mounting surface is only .6"! Seems kinda shallow it but that would definitely make it where the wildwoods won't work.
So, looks like I will be going 73+ front disc set up. I really want the torque thrust D wheels, so now my dilemma is 15x7 with a 3.76" backspace or 15x6 with 3.66" backspace on the front. From searching the threads, it seems like with the 3.76" backspace the max tire for the front I could run is a 205/60 15. "Maybe" a 225/60 15 if I went with the 15x6 3.66 backspace?
On the back, I will be running an 8.8" rear with offset shackles. I want to run 15x8 4.5" backspace with 275/60 15.
I'm a little concerned that it may look odd with a 28" tire in the back and a 24.6" tire in the front?
My car is a 67 notch. Not drag racing. Street cruiser. I am wanting to go for the look in this pic as far as the stance and wheels and tires.
@72bluNblu I know you have given many on here some great insight. Would you mind giving me your thoughts?
Thanks!

I'd say your assessment is spot on. With the 15x7's and 3.76" of backspace the absolute best you'll do is a 205. You might consider a 205/65/15, as that would be 25.5" tall. But even a 205/65/15 on that rim will be 1/16" closer to the fender than my 275/35/18's are, and my fenders are rolled and pushed. Granted, my car is substantially lowered and it's got a Dart fender not a Barracuda, so, there are differences and it might work for you.

Same for the 15x6's. A 225/60/15 is still going to put your tires 3/32" outside of my 275's. Maybe possible, but you're definitely in a spot where "fitting and trimming" will be required. A 215/60/15 on that wheel would be a much safer bet.

What you really need is a 15x7 with a 4.25" backspace or so.

In the back I don't think you'll have any issues with the 275's on 15x8's, but the backspace will depend on what width you make that 8.8.

Thank you very much! I appreciate your input tremendously. I'm kind of stuck on the torque thrust D's and unfortunately that is the only backspacing available.
Since you said I would be better off with a 15x7 with 4.25" backspace, do you think the 215/60 15 you recommended with the 15x6 with 3.66" backspace would work better on the 15x7 with the 3.76" backspace? That is a little bit shorter than the 205/65 15 but fill up the fender well a little better than the 205/60 15's.
Thanks again!

The 215 on the 15x7 would probably be into your fenders. You can see that the backspace between the 15x6 and 15x7 is only different by .1". That means the rest of the .9" of additional width is to the outside on the 15x7". It also means the centerline of the wheel has moved.

The easiest way to see that is with an offset spec. The 15x6" has an offset spec of about +3. The 15x7 has an offset spec of -7. So the centerline of the wheel moved out toward the fender ~10mm between the two. That's why the 215 should work on the 15x6, but the 205 is the best you can do on the 15x7. You'd need a 4-3/16" backspace on the 15x7 for the centerline of the wheel to be in the same place as the 15x6.

That makes sense. I wasn't thinking about the difference in center line of the wheel position.
Thanks again for the help!

Just FYI, I know you said that you are stuck on Torque Thrust D, but just wanted to make sure that you know about the Vision Legend 141. They offer 15 x 7 in 3.7 or 4.25 backspace and a 15 x 8 in 3.75 or 4.5 backspace. I also am a sucker for the
D's but their back-spacing choices stink, at least for a Mopar. The Visions are priced very reasonable and they have a picture of a yellow Duster or Dart Sport with the Legend 141's in their photo gallery. Just wanted to give you a heads up.

Another option, albeit much more expensive, is the Classic V by ET Mags. They will build your wheel with custom offsets. And they're almost a twin to the Torque Thrusts.
ET Wheels by Team III Wheels

Just slap some scarebird brakes on there and run whatever wheel you want
