Hey guys:
Another question on my 904 overhaul. I have to get that front clutch apart. I did a search and I saw the idea of using two c-clamps to compress the spring retainer to get the clip out. No way am I doing that because every single one of those snap-rings has been a wrestling match.
I rowed my way across the Bay of e while ago and saw several "clutch spring compressors" designed for use on an auto trans. Can someone provide me with some guidance on buying one of those? I can't do something off the snap-on truck...this is a budget build.
The good book(FSM) shows a tool used on that particular step of the disassembly, but if any exist any longer they are for sure sitting on someone's "rare Mopar tool shelf" with spotlights directed on them and a guard nearby..lol.
Thanks for any help.
