So I have me POS back together and lowered to the floor. Looks like I am
just touching my lca bump stops so I need to go up some. The FSM says
like 2-1/4" for the height, where is that measurement taken from????

Anyone have a dimension from the floor to the lca or something?

Thanks

I just set'em so I have about 1 inch between the lower bump stops.

I think the factory measures by drawing a line straight out from the lower torsion bar/king pin to the lower ball joint and the space between the 2=measured height, or just measure ground to lower ball joint then ground to lower torsion adjusting blade on arm and the difference is the height.

i usually set them to where i like the stance. but the service manual should give you a procedure of how to set the height and where to measure from.

The FSM height is for a stock vehicle with stock wheels and tires.

Get it up off the bump stops and set it where it looks good to you.

Where's a good place to measure height for side to side setting? I have it
exactly even to the lowest spot on the lca but then it's like 1/2" off from
the spot the K member bolts to the frame and also wheel well height.

The best place to measure for equaling sides is center of wheel straight up to the fender lip.

This distance could be used even if you had a flat tire.

Yes, use a tape measure from bottom of fender lip/wheelwell down to the ground across the center of the wheel. Make sure your tire pressure is equal side to side also.

Will not be accurate w/ a flat tire....

So the actual control arm height does not matter?

What if the fenders are off one side to the other? I was thinking
maybe K member to floor or something?

If your fenders are off side to side, the right height is the least of your problems....LOL JK

You can also measure from the frame rail behind the front tire down to the ground.

Don't overthink it.....get it close to level and take it in for an alignment. A good alignment shop will level your ride height for you.
