Torsion bar clocking

I think I’m getting this right. Heard it’s hard to mess up with factory parts. Welcome to any input. All parts are factory except FFI 1” bars which seem to bee clocked same as factory

Here is a left and a right.

Look at the number on the ends 888/889 890/891 892/893 894/895 of the OEM bars odd is left side, even is right side.

Also there is no preloading.

It doesn't matter if the part number faces forward or back but I would put them in with the part number facing rearward

Putting in new Firm Feel 1” bars. Made sure I got the R on passenger side and L to drivers.

Note to anyone doing after market T bars, powder coating can be thick, I took a little of the coating off my hex ends. Try an early test fit before getting under the car and finding out

One thing I did in my 69 was used internal snap rings instead of oem style.

Might need to go in a little farther, might not. Just make sure it’s fully in the socket on the arm

Thanks George, it was more out of necessity, when putting the 69 back together they were missing. Way stronger then oem.

Thinner than stock, great idea.
