does it matter which end goes in first ,the numbers on the end of torsion bar facing out at the end of crossmember? and is left considered sitting in the drivers seat,meaning drivers side is the left?

IF you a purest it maters left is left and right is right.but it does not mater witch way they are in and L MEANSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS LEFT.

There is a left and a right side...that's it. No matter which end is facing forward, the bar still twists in the same direction.

Yes. Driver's side is "L", passenger side "R". I installed mine so the L & R were at the back where someone could see them. To be doubly sure on L vs R, Mopar generally used even numbers for one side and odd for the other (I forgot which), so search, plus you can find charts here that list torsion bar PN's.
