Can anyone tell me if it makes a difference which way a torsion bar goes in, front-back? And just to be sure the LCA shouldn't be torqued down until the car is lowered.
For factory bars, No. Left and right do matter, but not front and back. Not just lowered -Torque after ride height is set.Can anyone tell me if it makes a difference which way a torsion bar goes in, front-back? And just to be sure the LCA shouldn't be torqued down until the car is lowered.
Since the thread is older im going to.hijack for a second-Follow PST’s instructions. With their old 1.03” bars there was no left or right, the bars were zero indexed and could be installed on either side.
I believe their new bars are indexed though, so there will be a left and a right if that’s the case. Maybe @PST can help with that.
If you’re using stock rubber bushings, the LCA pivot pin nuts shouldn’t be fully torqued until the car is at ride height. For poly or Delrin LCA bushings, it doesn’t matter.
