Torsion bar questions

If we get the front end aligned and then decide that the front sits too high,can we crank down the torsion bars with out screwing up the alignment, or would it be better to lower the front end before alignment.

definitely set the height first.

Some people say you can't adjust it at all without ruining the alignment, some (like me) say you can adjust it a little (very little) without changing it enough to hurt it.

But definitely set the height first.
 
i adjust mine frequently and i have never felt any difference . i dont wear tires unevenly and it doesnt look affected. not to say that it doesnt change...but not enough for me to worry about it..my $0.02

It changes. How much is the question.....

If you make big adjustments, it's more, small adjustments, it's less.

The real question is why do you adjust them frequently? I set my ride height once, got an alignment and have never needed to touch them again in the last 7 years.
