Is .920 heavy enough for a 383 in a Duster? It's gonna be for street use.I know B-body uses this size for stock big-blocks.Also does the lower control arms need to be reinforced to carry the extra weight of the big-block.This is gonna be my first big-block A-body so i may have more questions as i get working on it.Right now i'm just gathering parts. :thumleft:

Stock A-body 383 bars are 890's, the B-bodys bars are longer making the need to be thicker than A-body bars and the factory didn't do any reinforcing of the LCA's.

Summit carries the .920 bars for a bodys. Are they gonna be to stiff for a 383?

It may be a little stiff, but it will probably help the handling on the street. I got a set of .990 Tbars for my Duster to try a little autocrossing, but I was told by some other A-body autoxers that the .990 was pretty good on the street and they used the 1.04 and larger for racing. I think the .890 bar will feel pretty good with the 383. Just my .02

Thanks Marty and Craig for your input :D From what you guys said the .920 bars should work well on the street.
