hey so i have a 70 dart and how do i get the ride height even on both sides when adjusting torsion bars and also how high can they safely be adjust i wasnt sure what i was doing so i turned the bolt alll the way up and now it sits really high so obviously i will turn it down but i'm worried i wont be able to get them completly even any help or advise will be appreciated

make sure the tires are the same and same air pressure and on flat ground. then jack it up and adjust a lil then let it down all the way and bounce it a lil then measure from the ground to the top of the wheel opening on the fender and keep doin that till you get it how you like it. it will mess with your alignment tho so be aware of that. one thing i do is count the turns i turn each side and do them both the same. then you are pretty close to the same all the time

If you count the turns as you said and get them the same on both sides, is the alignment still going to be messed up?

with the car on the ground; push on it hard several times.
Then measure from the floor to the lca, under the torsion bar; and under the ball joint. If the measurement is close to 1 7/8", factory specs.
