Total fluid amount in 904 ?

Hey guys. Getting ready to bolt up my new trans this morning. Only info. I could find on fluid amount for a stock trans was converter holds 3 qts & trans 5qts. So with a added 2 qts for deep pan does 10 total sound right. I seem to remember eventually putting more than 10 in my last one. Any info. appreciated.

Its a SB & trans is freshly rebuilt with brand new converter and both are totally dry.

I just installed my rebuilt 904 with new converter and it took a about 9 quarts. Good luck with the install, it shouldnt take to much time. When I pop my first cool one today I'll be thinking about yah.
 
About 8 quarts in a stock pan 904 w/ mine.

Start the car and let it get to operating temp. Check the fluid level in neutral so the pump is engaged.
