Here is the problem, tranny shifts fine but will not move the car under load, lift the car up off the ground then moves correctly forward and reverse, this has new tranny fluid and it is full. Checked when hot. Its a SB 727 with reverse valve body. Is this the clutches gone bad?

Or you have small black particles in the pan.
Probably lost the direct input clutchpack.

Really easy and inexpensive fix, and it gives ya a chance to upgrade a few things.

Not if it does it in manual low and reverse. If it slips only in auto low and high, then yeah, it's probably a clutch pack. As mentioned, I would do a full pressure test to rule out any other possible causes. Did it happen all at once out on the road or just after installing the valve body or fluid change. If it's low on fluid it will slip also.
