Trans issues

I have an 01 Ram 1500 /5.2/2wd that needs a transmission.
My question is ,will a trans from a 97 Dakota/ 5.2 /2wd or a 02 Durango/5.2 /2wd work in my Ram without any mods/fabrication.

I asked Rodney about it and he says the Durango trans might work but the other will not. You have to start worryin about electronic differences.

Dakota and Durango are essentially the same vehicle...and very few Durangos have a manual trans. The Dak trans should be the same as the truck, BUT, why not take a couple pics of each an compare them?? Don't worry about one or the other having an electric speedo as they completely interchange.
