Hi are the trans kickdown linkage on a 904 and a 727 trans the same? Both cars A body with v8s stock thanks for any help. do they interchange?

I think they are different and I think Krazycuda just went through this recently. I think the kinkdown arm on the trans is longer for a 727 or maybe it's the shift arm.

IDK for sure,
but I think they must be. The VB's are the same. The vehicle bodies are the same. If the carbs are both 4bbls then I believe they would have to be.
The final say in the matter is if they both push the TV arm to full back, synchronized with WOT.
I have seen several different kinds of TV arms; really short, standard, and long, plus offsets, and with or without nylon or plastic bushings.
I have seen also several different kinds of carb rods; short/long, inside/outside ends, adjustable and not,and various bends.
I have seen several different systems of transferring the motion from the carb rod to the TV arm.
So, after all these years, there is no telling what is on your car.
One thing I do know; If one of your cars has the right system, it will work on either tranny.I think.

I'm thinking the kickdowns are the same but the 727 may use a different trans rod. I have a 904 and a 727 in the garage that I can compare linkage arms to.
