I have a few of them to rebuild.
A 46re (first priority)
An a500
A 78 904 non lockup
Possibly a 2nd 46re as a spare.

I haven't done one in a while, when I was more into transmissions we had a DACCO about 1/2 hour from where I used to live (means an hour from here)
And another an hour in a different direction.
DACCO is long gone, I believe transtar bought them out. The closest one of those is 1-1/2 hour away. I've been there once or twice but not in a handful of years.

Now a relative newcomer around here is this place called W I T.
About the same distance from here as transtar.
Now can't expect "great" discounts since I've not been to transtar in years and never been to the other place, I've bought a few pieces of feebay that I think might have come from WIT in another state.
Not looking for "cheap" cuz I know that gets me what I pay for but I want best bang for buck between these 2 places.

Well I just looked at both of them, both closed Saturday which doesn't help me any.

Are you after an overhaul kit or separate parts? Summit sells kits & some specialised parts.

Overhaul kit plus a few things like reman TC, the brass thrust washers, snap rings, the plastic spacer between the snap rings and Belleville spring in the rear clutch ( mine was a melted blob)

I have been slowly buying some sonnax goodies for this job already. I think I have all the "upgrade parts" I'm gonna need/want.

I'm about an hour south of Chicago,
Does a&a have 518/46re stuff?
I'm planning on going to Indy swap next weekend.
