Trans swap questions

Hey I have a 73 duster. I plan on eventually switching to a four speed. I have a 318 and plan to stick with that. I've seen people like brewer's performance selling kits with the bell housing pressure plate and pretty much everything to do the swap for 4k. I personally feel like I can find the parts individually and save money. What do you guys think and does anyone have any of the 833 for an a body they are willing to let go. I thought about a Muncie 4spees also but don't want to have to cut out more floor pan than what I have to the car is pretty much complete other than going back and finishing small things

Its a workable plan to piece it together at a lower cost. Study and learn the parts needed
for your application and keep your eyes open for the right deals for you. Patience and being
informed of what you need is the key. The scavenger hunt can be part of the fun.
Done many of them this way myself.

I just swapped to 4 speed. Pieced my stuff .
Pedals .steering column. Hyd slave and Hyd master cyl.ect.
I guess if money was there a kit would've been nice
But .diy.works great also
