Transaxle noise

Hey guys. About 3 hours ago I was involved in a hit and run and an uninsured driver hit me in the front wheels. my car is now overheating above 40mph, wont go above 60-65, and its making a grinding/scratching noise Somewhere near the passenger side, and the wheel isn't rubbing. It's a 94 Eagle Talon if that helps. Any ideas what could be wrong? I need some leads for my mechanic...

Sounds like your struts or something is bent putting pressure on the axle forcing it in the trans axle

You shoulda had it towed.
A hit to a front wheel of a frontwheel drive car can write your 94 car off
Let the tec figure it out.

Going to take her to the mechanic and figure out what got messed up. But yeah. Lady probably doesn't have money to afford insurance. just too bad.
