What number are you looking for?
Tom Hand's book has some up thru the 90s and 2000-2002
PK4531005. I'll have to look in that book.

Pretty sure it's a late 80's 4x4 unit. I'm curious if it'd be a lockup or non-lockup transmission. Pretty sure I could use some parts out of it regardless.

That's a standard non-L/U input. As I understand it, those are rare as hen's teeth. There's a good long thread on here about it, packed with info, rmchrgr posted it back in March of 2015. I'd link to it, but I've no idea how.

Thanks. I saw that thread. This particular transmission is a 4x4 unit though, so I'd maybe be able to use some of the internals depending on condition - pump, higher capacity clutch drums (?), etc. May still be worth snagging for parts though.

In my book they're all worth snagging for parts. Strange it's a 4x4, but Tom lists it as a 2wd. Wonder if someone's built a 3 bean salad there?

10000 date code was reached on December 13, 1988.
Then date code for December 14, 1988 was 10001 which is stamped 0001 on transmission.
Oh, got it. Thank you. So, the 10,000 calendar simply rolled over once it topped out. Good to know. I thought 0490 was April 1990 for the obvious reason. Glad I asked.
