What would be the best 4 speed auto transmission swap? Currently living this in this Dart is a 727 torqueflight bolted to a 340 twisting a 489/373 diff and gear set. I've done some wrenching on a couple B body OEM manuals, but never a swap... and I'm out of practice. I've contacted those tied to Brewer's Performance, Passon, Keisler's, Classic Industries and a few more and they outfitted me with their merchandise. "They say" anyone can do these swaps using their packages and accessories. Well, let's say I was born at night but not last night. These puppies run north of $4,000-$5,000, and after shipping, tax, a few trips to NAPA for extra's not mentioned in those packages, some accessories, mods and more mod parts - I'm guessing after everything said and done, I'm looking at over $6,000 or more. So what do you think? Is it worth it? Is there a better solution regarding a transmission upgrade? Would respect and appreciate any help. Thanks.

You mean that you want to put a manual 4 speed in a car that is currently an automatic??? Given some posts about it isn't clear at this point
