Trick flow track heat vs edelbrock Victor (low deck)

-
The Indy 400-3 is a MW port intake. The Mopar M1 4500 is a standard port intake. The Trick Flow and Victor intakes are std port and 4150. I dyno tested the 400-3 and a Mopar M1 4500 on my 470 dyno mule. Both intakes were competition ported by Wilson. The Indy made more peak power which wasn't a surprise but we're starting to get a long way from where this thread started.

So for the 240 head 470 I seen you were using the trickflow intake. I can assume you prefer the trickflow over the victor. I was wondering if since the victor has a higher operating range by 500 rpm if it was because of a specific reason ?

I have owned and dyno tested a few Victors....... and I have dyno tested one engine with the TF manifold.
But I have not had them side by side.
My impression of the TF after seeing it was that the runner dividers were thinner, and the insides of the runner walls had a better finish on them.
It also does not have the little “wings” at the top of the runners protruding into the plenum at the carb pad.
The owner of the motor with the TF manifold, who has also had Victor intakes before, stated the port exits were more uniform and correctly sized.
The manifold was not removed during the dyno session, so I never saw that end of the runners.

Andy, I'm looking at the Indy intake in your post #26, was that a 4150 that was opened up to 4500 at the base ? That is a question I was going to ask you. Is there enough meat on the tf to open it up for a dominator ?
