What is the silicon looking material used to cover the seems in the trunk floors of most mopars? I need to remove the rear valence on my '71 and it looks like I am going to need some of it cut out in order to disconnect the valence.

it is called seam sealer. available at body supply stores. i.e. finishmasters.

I use a map gas torch and a scraper. Just heat it till it is warm (starts to smoke a bit) and it comes right off! I just did my driprails with the torch and a curved pick. even got the sealer out of the underside and from under roof skin. Now i am possitive that the GEM inhibitor soaked under the roof skin!!
