Got a 65 Barracuda. Trying to add a trunk light. Can I just run a power wire to the fuse box or is there a better option in the trunk? Hoping for some advice from you electric gurus. Thank you

Not positive but believe there is a pigtail in the left side wiring that runs to the taillights.

I did find one but its for the license plate light. Is that the one your thinking of?
Trying to find a source with constant power as well.

I thought the wire was already there. Domelight circuit?

Not familiar, specifically, with the Barracuda harness physically

EDIT: A quick look through the service manual says not the case. Easiest way probably connect to the park/ tail circuit, otherwise, "new wire."

Another way would be to find an LED battery powered lamp you can mount in there

Im not an electrician by any means. Can you just tap into the wire using one of these guys?

Any of the rear lights will not work as there is only power when the light is on.
The pink dome light wire is your best bet.

Not sure about '65, but my '69 Road Runner has a splitter on the trunk light harness. Plugs in behind the left kick panel, where the dome light would normally plug into, then the dome light harness plugs into that splitter.

I just tapped mine right into the dome light circuit and mounted a door jamb switch on the trunk lip. Now when I open the trunk, the trunk light comes on as well as the interior lights. I was going to isolate them, but I changed my mind, because when we're in the trunk, we're usually in the interior too so I left it like that and I like it. Works good.
