Trying to start rebuilt engine, spitting through carb

Yes, I had it rebuilt by a shop in Victoria. My next challenge now is to rig up a throttle linkage which was missing from the car. It came with a Lokar kit in a package.

Good work fixing the timing problem. There is no magic number of turns out on the idle screws, though; follow the idle adjustment procedure here.

Thanks again for your advice on the Canadian car having a different starter. I was pulling my hair out.
