Didn't get a response to this on the "other" board...maybe it's THAT lame of an issue.

I have some tube upper c-arms for my 69 Dart and some conflicting info on which side is which. I always thought the ball joints were to lean backwards, so the TOP of the BJ was towards the rear of the car. The c-arm vendor confirmed this, after needing to call me back as he "knew nothing about Mopars"...

This is how that looks...

This is how it looks with c-arms switched and the BJ leaning forward, which is obviously better...

In looking around the web, I see upper tube c-arms installed leaning both ways. Now I know every vendor has a slightly different part, but can someone shed some light on this for me???

I am not a suspension specialist but that top picture looks very bad
from here. Seems it would put to much stress on the ball joint.
Could pull it apart.

this is obviously wrong...

Your second post is the correct install.
Mine are from firm feel.
The small amount of caster you need is made into the upper arm bend and you should be able to adjust nicely with the cam bolts.
There are lots of threads with pics of these installed to give you an idea.
Hope this helps.

Thanks guys! Like I said, while I "thought" all top BJ's leaned towards the rear, I KNEW better after mocking these up. Adding to my frustration was that I see them forwards and backwards, although not anywhere NEAR what mine were like.

No, they were not marked L or R.

Thanks again. Back to the garage!
