Some of you have probably seen some pics of this before. It was supposed to go to the US for Drag Week but didn't get any track time before it was supposed to go. Arby, the owner, ended up going over and buying a low-blown C10 pick-up and doing Drag Week that way.

Unfortunately it doesn't look like he's gonna take the car this year either. He's kind of over the idea of taking the car, especially when australian customs want a $28,000 bond just to take the car out of the country.

Anyway, here's some video you might not have seen.

Now that is a well set up chassis ! No wheel lift...just forward motion !
 
He's going with a guy in a v8 Ford Capri. He's lucky it didn't go to Drag Week because the engine proved to be unreliable. From what I understand the car is also now for sale.

Yeah, he had a lifter failure. No unheard of in these cars. He's got it for sale (there's no real urgency) but that didn't stop him from doing the burnout shown above. :)
 
After looking through one of the build thread today where someone was fitting a four-link rear, I thought I should probably point out that this is still a leaf spring car as well.
