Tuff wheel A body adapter needed?!?

I am converting my 67 from column shift to floor shift. I bought the leather wrapped Grant tuff wheel and the correct Grant adapter for the floor shift column.

My question has two parts. Will I need to buy an A body tuff wheel adapter to make this fit? The Grant adapter kit matches up perfectly to my column, but I'm afraid the wheel will be too far away from me. Will the can style adapters work with the 67-69 style column where the ignition switch is on the dash?

I KNOW somebody has done this. I have access to an E body and A body styles of can adapters. I just don't know if either is compatible with my 68-9 style A body floor shift steering column.
