17918-36 is the model/part number ..fits 727...

97015 ...converter build in 1997...serial number 015

the -36 number refers to the stall on the converter...and the rest of the numbers are Greek and you will need to call TA

http://www.turboaction.com/frame.html on left side of page click on torque converters

then click on Stall Speed Applications 8" in center of page....you will see some 17918 models...but nothing with the -36 after it.....could it be -38?

look on the 8" steel stator page, there is a -36 listed. It's likely a pretty high stall because I think as the T/A dash numbers go down, stall goes up.

as the number get bigger..the stall get bigger with a TA...

Yes, you're right on that. I thought I saw something that was different. Might have had the first five digits different.

thanks for the info guys.

found it under 8"pro series steel stator. 727. '67-'92. 17918-36.
probably mid to high 5000 stall range.

cheers

going to depend on the engine in front of it....that is why they are called Torque Converters...
