turn signal light problem

So my turn signal indicator light on the top of my fender stays on if my light switch is on...im getting a new light switch, umm, any ideas of what could cause this?

When a front park/turn fixture looses its chassis ground the park lamp current seeks a ground path through a fender mounted turn signal or the inst' pabel indicater or both.

Or...your bulb filament is bad and touching the other filament for the signal light

I don't know these newer cars as much but does the left top fender indicator come on when the hi-beams are turned on?

If not then my next question is, which fender or are they both on?

And kind of what a383 says, you may have a bad bulb or a bulb not seated correctly on the appropriate side for the fender. This happend to me on a taillight once, the 1157 was not in and locked causing the turn indicator to be on when I hit the brakes (77 Truck)....

Post the fix this is interesting....
