The drivers side turn signal on my 66 Formula S lights but does not blink. This is true for both the rear turn signal and the front fender mounted light.

Is there a relay or other electrical component that needs to be replaced? I gotta believe it’s a simple fix but I’m not sure what or where it is.

Thanks for any input!

Usually a bad ground at that light.

Thanks Toolman. I’ll pull the bulb and clean up the contact on the build and the socket.

If you replaced the original style bulbs with L.E.D. they won't blink unless you install a resistor at each L.E.D. or replace the flasher with a low current type.

And if you put a resister at the bulbs then they draw incandescent current so why use LEDs

Just my 2 cents

They are brighter and now easier to find on the shelf of parts stores. I had an amber incandescent 1157 go out over the road and 5 stores didn't have any incandescent bulbs or the low current flasher needed to but did have L.E.D's and resistors ..

Think truck stop for 1156/1157 bulbs. I found some at the local spot for less than $1 each. Sure beats paying $6-$8 if they even have them at the parts store.

Thanks guys. I’m gonna look for some bulbs tomorrow and this info will help me a lot.
