Twin f2 drag week duster makes noise

-
Have you driven it in "street trim" yet? Wondering how it runs with out them? Was it ever dynoed with out them?

I have not driven the Duster in street trim yet. It was dyno'ed N/A and we have a tune for it. I was so excited to here my blowers that I chose to drive around with them screaming in every bodies ear. But in preparation, we'll be switching it up and test its drive-ability. With the gear-drive disconnected, it made over 800hp. That should be plenty to drive around on right? lol

For mere mortals :prayer: Watched the video several times just to hear the blowers howling away......Pretty sure I seen in one of your threads you made mention of pump fuel...if that is right I can only imagine the looks on peoples faces when you pull up to the pump.....Any date for the first full throttle pass???

Well, we got her in for the winter. Going to be hitting the body shop soon and will be @ the World Of Wheels in Kansas City with Jake's Performance Fabrication in Feb. Sometime early next year I'll make a full hit. I got to walk up on her because she is plenty strong and I have not run faster than an 8 in the quarter. In all do time though, I'll have her eaten up the track...

Okay Gents,

First test session of the year. Got her painted over the winter and I hope you all like my dream scheme brought to life. Got out my first pass and only made it to 30% throttle before my throttle cable broke and coasted through. Still ran a high 1.30's 60ft though so that is promising. Second pass, we destroyed the converter and our testing was done. Still was good to get here out and Steve Morris said the tune is ready, just patch her up and she should fly. I got a Billet Chance Converter now. That should patch things up... Will be hitting the track this up coming weekend. Updates to come.

Thank man, and yes, the tornado was terrible but my car was not in the state during that event. Luckily, all my family and friends are OK... Now it is time to go play... lol

Hope youre all safe from the last round of twisters Darryl! I watched some live footage online from your channel 5 news. Looked pretty nasty!

Yeah man,

Didin't hit the track because we hit the storm shelter this past Friday... It was crazy. We cuaght the very out skirts of the tornado. Old oaks waving in the wind like they were at a concert... But all came out well and we made it to the track Saturday for some good testing... Update to come...

!!!UPDATES!!!

Got some really good testing in this past Saturday. We compiled lots of data and still have a few bugs to fix. Only made 1/8th mile hit because we were having some misfiring issue and thought the cause was from leaning out on the top end. Crazy thing is, on the engine dyno it ran perfect. On the chassis dyno it ran perfect. At the track we had one solid full power run and ran into some chassis tuning issues and I had to let off but you know I got back on it after straightening her out and she pulled harder than than the launch threw the lights. In all, this was a great test session and I'm extremely excited that we are coming up on this bad boy Duster tune. Special thanks to Jake @ Jake Performance Fabrication, Andrei and crew @ Abel Racing and Steve @ Steve Morris Engines for really coming through for me. Enjoy the videos...

Could not get the converter to lock up. Only made a pull to 7100 and the converter flashed to 6200... Was a good clean pull though. Time to get that timeslip...

After chassis dyno session we hit the streets but had to make a gas stop first...

Nice burn out to start our day...

Motor ran the cleanest this pass. Most power I have ever felt. You can see we need some chassis tuning also probably over powered that track on that hit. There was some tire spin as seen from the smoke... [ame]http://youtu.be/qWB0ro1JDGw[/ame]

Bad burn out...

Misfiring bad but still ran a 1.26 60ft and I cut off well before the 1/8th and clocked a 9.00 @ 105mph...

She pulled real hard to the center or could have been lined up just a tad left from center. Really, I think I might have jerk the wheel that direction. Still learning gents...

My track manager thinks I'm a power tour car. lol He still shows love though. Might have to turn your speakers up a bit. Oh yeah, still misfiring here also...

Wow!! About how many $$$ Did it Take For the drive line ? Everything but your labor on the build? Did you keep track of the parts cost. Thanks Steve

I do not remember right off the bat. I have mad receipts to compile and I know a general estimate of what I have spent so far. Hit me up offline if you really want to know and I'll dig some stuff. I know that Rossler 210XHD with all the bells and whistles hit very hard...
