Would this be possible? If possible, would it look totally stupid?
I really love the twin scoop look... but my 1973 hood has the raised middle.
Anyone done this?

possible but i think it looks goofy and out of place on a 73 hood.

It's one thing to swap something over because it actually looks like it belongs there, like a Demon/Dart Sport scoop. But while the "finish" of this car is excellent, that Duster has so many things from so many models and years that it looks like a patchwork of leftover parts. Everyone has their own preference.

Abodyjoe - thanks for the picture. It really helps!
It is a little different, to be sure, but I think it will work. Guess it isn't too goofy for me.
My Duster is not a "looker." She is actually pretty ugly and will probably never get the kind of bodywork she'd need to win any beauty contests. I do have a really pretty '68 Barracuda Fastback that IS meant to turn heads.

djais1801 - I looked at that scoop but really wanted the twin scoops (and bought them).

I was thinking about maybe changing the hood and grill to a '72 for flatness. But I think I'm going to go for it!

Anyone know any measurements for this hybrid approach? Or want to share a strategy for making some?

Thanks!

Doesn't look bad in the middle, I kinda like it.
