Hello everyone,

I have a 5.9 magnum engine that I ordered a set of the Mopar Magnum aluminum valve covers for. I'd really like to convert the valve covers from the twist-in type oil cap to a modern chrysler threaded type so I can continue to use my handy dandy lisle threaded funnel for oil changes.

Has anyone ever seen something like this? I've been searching the web a little and haven't seen anything.

Thanks

i would start by seeing if those valve covers are punched out to begin with
dollars to donuts you will not need to "convert" anything, but rather "set up" for what you need

now, having said that, i dont think there is a adapter, but if you got a steady hand, you may be able to use a dremel to "thread" the valve cover

or, if you decide to use a push or twist in breather, i would get an old junker one, then pick up an old junker magnum valve cover and do some cutting and welding

Just curious, but where did you get those valve covers? I thought they had been discontinued.

They started reproducing them. On backorder for another month or so, but the guy I talked to at DodgeParts said his system shows that Chrysler has about 500 pair of them at the moment they are prepping for shipment. Hipotek has them, tasca parts has them, mopar parts warehouse has them. Just google the part number P4532621. I know Indy Cylinder Head has 1 pair on the shelf, but they don't have baffles and they want $199 for them.
