Let's see some of the poor work done to your cars by the previous owners.

This is mine from my 73 Dart. To clear the backspacing on the wheels the previous owner flipped the axle and welded where the spring shackles solid to the frame (Notice that he made it so the bolt could not be removed). The back of the car sat so high up in the air that it looked ridiculous and there was no suspension travel at all (Very Safe). Also look at the welds on the home made shock mounts. LOL. It's a good thing that I got a smoking deal on the car.

This is my solution to the problem. Mini tubs, Chris Alston 4-Link, narrowed 9", detroit locker, 3.89 gears, 325-60-15 drag radials and coilovers. A little more work, but well worth it. Don't worry, this is just mocked up. Still need to install the track bar, weld in mounts and crossmember for the coilovers.

No Pics But When I Picked Up My Car From Kentucky The Car Must Have Been In A Accident Because They Tried To Replace The Right Side Rad Support By Welding Large Washers Between The Two Pieces Because They Cut It Two Short To Fit. So We Drilled Out The Spot Welds And Welded A New Used One In It's Place.

Here's the way a rotten frame rail was fixed by some one on my 72 dart. A piece of angle Iron was welded into the rotten area then the whole thing was covered with bodo.

no pictures, was a long time ago. my dad and i were getting supplies for his business. radiator sprung a leak at supply yard. dad widdled a chunk of 2x4 to a point, shoved it thru leaky fin in radiator. left the piece of wood in there for years, just trimmed it so it was not sticking thru the grill. never dripped again and was easier then trying to pinch tube off....

Wow, that was some fab work there badart, some people lol. When I was in high school the redneck kids used to weld like that in welding class after saying how good they could weld. I had experience so mine looked good, their statement was always "well mine ain't pretty but it's strong, so don't matter what it looks like" sure it doesn't. One kid built a body lift for his silverado by using 2x3 steel and where ever there was a rotted body mount he just put a piece of 1/8" flat stock over it, then to save money on hardware he actually welded the new mounts to the frame and to the body. . . wtf is all I could say but he swore it was strong, one day in class we loaded a motor and trans in the back of the box and the welds on the front box mounts broke and the front of the box came flyin up LMFAO!!
