Hey there, i posted here a while back when i bought the car, but i thought id give you yanks an update.
Im from the UK and in January i bought a 318 Plymouth Gold Duster. I Had been imported between january and may of 2015 where the previous owner sprayed it Primer yellow, added some cool slot wheels, some flowmasters and a scoop.
There was a bit of rust coming through and the UK is very wet all year round so the primer paint isnt a great idea, thankfully the underside is completely rust free.
The car was sent off in april this year to a MOPAR specialist in the UK, a guy by the name of Ash who runs APRBodyworks. He did a great job of stripping everything back, cutting out any rot, welding in new patches, straightening everything and doing a great paint job as well as a bunch of odd jobs for me too.
I Think it looks great, had originally planned to have the full stripe set on, but he said they were really bad quality, and only the "Duster" and "Gold Duster" ones were any good. Will be a future job as well as sorting the interior out.
Dont really know anything of the History of the car in the US apart from it was a california car, and it passed through a place called "Westoaks Mopar Performance", as i have the plate frame from it on the car. Original Plates were California 3AWG455 and the sticker is a yellow or orange colour. Dunno if anyone knew this car at any point before?
