Front universal joint is cactus, seemed simple to change from the book until I crawled under car and attempted to remove (by the book), is it better to remove rear uni joint to gain better access to front? or is there another way?
Cheers,
Monaro.

I don't know what "cactus" means

You must remove the shaft, IE unbolt the rear drive u bolts/ bolts, gently pry out of the rear yoke, and be careful not to lose the rear caps.

Give all joints the "wiggle and move" test to check for dry spots and crushed bearings. Just because the two removable caps on the rear look OK and show grease, does not mean both the other are OK

Thanks fellows, be lost without you blokes, trouble with readig from offical workshop manuel is that they seem to write it like you have done it before (well that how I see it). Tony cactus= stuffed, u/s, buggered etc. well I'm just about to crawl under car before it get to hot (second month of spring and its already hitting 34c -94f).
Cheers,
Monaro
