Unknown Resto Part '65 Barracuda-What is it anyway?

Found this in my stash of new parts to install on the '65 Formula S when it's time to put it back together. It was loose and not in original packing/box so I don't have a clue.

It is a black fabric about 2 1/2 inches wide and 4 feet long. One side is rough (kinda like velcro but obviously not) and the reverse side is slightly sticky, almost as if someone coated it in a little honey. It was all rolled up on itself like a toilet paper roll.

looks like the fabric that goes into the lower part of the window track for the rear quarter and drivers glass. they call it friction liner in the 65 manual
