Everything that could be assembled ahead of time was. Then they just sprayed the whole thing. Even the exhaust manifolds got painted (and it just burnt off).

No.. just too much time to tape stuff like that off.

Yep. Speed. They painted the exhaust manifolds, and other crap to speed up assembly.

I guess what it boils down to is every time I put the motor together I was not quite as in a hurry as ma Mopar was.
