I would have said my ss springs didn't make the car lean....... till I actually measured. Looks like a half inch higher body on the passenger side .awesome thanks guys im hearing now that the ss springs will be higher on the pass side but ive also seen posts where they are the same height just beefier on the pass side.
Yes it is a 72 Dart, check my signature for my build..Heywodja, is that a Dart? if so, did you mini tub it also? how much tire clearance did it give you? I see you have 325's on it now but how did you make it work?
@Heywodja
yes......we are not lowering the front but want the back way up to clear some monstersWhy are you lifting it? Don't tell me your also lowering the front for the superstock look LOL. 12 inch wheels fit under with 28 14.5 15's . If your using SS springs they take B-body bushings with that kit. Springs and weld in pipes. Make sure your springs take the same bushings as the pipes they fave you. the kit should have come with b-body shackles
I got 29 x 14.5 tires under my car without lifting it. 12 inch wide rims with 7 1/2 back space. Also have 315 drag radials on the demon with same size wheel. My personal opinion, I believe lifting a car is stupid. The tire diameter lifts it enough. The demon has bigger tires and was lowered 4 inches. It will go down once more weight is added. Lifting the car makes it harder to control on the big end if it starts spinning. Both cars have 3 inch inboard kits.yes......we are not lowering the front but want the back way up to clear some monsters
They are staggered from driver to passenger side. My car is a street/ open road car with a focus on handling and hooking up, so I used two driver's side springs to keep it level. The passenger side springs sit a bit higher, which I didn't want.awesome thanks guys im hearing now that the ss springs will be higher on the pass side but ive also seen posts where they are the same height just beefier on the pass side.
The trick and old instructions when installing the unequal spring pack is. After the springs are installed jack the car up on the center of the rear and level the front. When you let it down the car will lean to the left. Crank that bar up one turn for the street. And take it out for the drag strip.
I eventually went to Calvert mono leafs with caltracs. Car sat level at the same height as the old SS spring. For the other car we went with 1 inch lowering springs from calvert. I have every part number spring here to use . I like the calverts
@Oldmanmopar Steve, when you're doing spring relocation's on the Duster's, do you move the spring eye locations back a little so bigger tires don't rub the bottom front of the wheel openings on the quarters? Big tires are always close at that point on a lot of Dusters, Demons and Sports when springs are in stock location. When you see them close in the front, there's always a mile of room at the rear.
