If I remember correctly you can save money by keeping the same torque convertor and using a flex plate with the balancing weights on it.

The torque convert has weights on them

Don't forget that you'll need the 360 style engine mount brackets that are different than the 273 ones that you have.

I did find them yesterday at an estate sale,The family had $10.00 on them and snatched them up

What the OP needs to do is modify the right side engine bracket per the instructions in the chassis manual, and stack up some washers to make up the gap. Bolt the sucker in. The left side bracket bolts up just fine.

A 340/360 style engine bracket won't work for the swap.
