used lifters

Got mixed up on the order. The cam is in good shape,so now I have 16 used hydraulic lifters with no purpose. I guess I could gut a couple for use when degreeing in cams,but I sure wish there was a way to reuse them for thier intended purpose..

Life sucks..lol!!

Yup,just wondering what to do with the lifter I dont gut.Wish there was a way to refinish the lifters contact face so it could have a new life..

I read somewhere that the surfaces are formed within a few minutes.

I know what you mean. I once had a friend that didnt have any money for a big cam, so he welded up one of his own. Meanest sounding car in town...for about 30 seconds - lol.

Now you have me wondering. With the various oil additives on the market now,maybe it is a feasible thing to just put the lifters in and add something like zddp to the oil.
