Hello
Desire to relive childhood days with my Dad - and learning to drive in his Valiant , led to......
Just acquired a 1960 Valiant SUBURBAN Wagon from original owner
one repaint - original interior - one drive train swap - still a 6 but with 3spd in floor
Sitting in a garage 18 years
Would appreciate any advice / suppliers / etc to :
complete brake redo
gas tank (sat 1/2 full entire 18 years)
wheels & tires - sitting on factory ones- read an old article suggesting 15's ride better
would really like to redo entire interior
Thanks for any help !
I am excited to be part of the group

Welcome to FABO!

Sounds like a nice car you're starting with! Got an pics?

Do you want to redo the stock brakes, or step up to disc brakes in the front?
If you change to the big bolt pattern (5 x 4.5" vs. the stock 5 x 4"), you'll find a lot more options for wheels.

Probably ought to consider draining and cleaning the tank.

welcome!!!! pics!???? sounds like a truly GREAT find.
I would pull the tank and drain it, better to sit half full of gas than empty. the fuel pickup and maybe even the line from tank to fuel pump full of varnish!?
if you replace such, any Mopar parts supplier of even Feebay can supply such.
like he said, 2 choices on brakes, rebuild the inadequate orig 9 in drums or change to disc. the best way to go is used setup off 73-6 A body, IMO
yes I run the 9 in drums on most my cars but I live in the STICKS , very little traffic.
