Hello,

I am gathering what is needed to finish off my 440 Car and I am really thinking of upgrading to an 8.75. I have a 4.10 geared, Sure-Grip A body 8.25 now, and I think it will hold.

That being said, I may end up with some bigger wheels later, and the added width, plus strength of the 8.75 could be handy. That and I have two chunks on hand with 3.55's.

What is the going rate on 8.75's out of b-body's where you are? I would consider housings with axles etc. Or the compete rear.

Thanks, ROB

well it depends I bought one for 210, axles (decent barrings) backing plates, housing that had been tapped for quick drain. It was ready to run except for a pumpkin. I have picked up housings for free and axels for $40 before though so who knows.

OK. I was figuring $300ish for a complete ready to run one with some 3.23's or something, down to $100-150 for a housing and axles.

Generally I am pretty patient and resourceful so I can come up with something.

Thank you for the reply.

ROB

Yeah, since you don't need it right now, just watch on here, craigslist, moparts, etc and one will pop up for a decent price over time.
