Thanks for the pic. I have a couple sets of chrome BB valve covers boxed up. I believe they are both Direct Connection covers. Ill take a look.

If it matters to you, the chrome valve covers shown are only "correct" for the right side.

I was not aware of the, so the Left side was painted steel?

To be "correct", the photo of the two chrome covers are really showing two right side covers.

Yes those are both passenger side valve covers in the pic. The drivers will have an oil fill pipe and a cap that slides over top of it. Kim

They are reproduced by AMD for 67/68. They had early production issues but have been corrected. 69 are the hard ones to find!

What is different about '69? Aren't they painted?

A body 383's were all chrome from 67 to 69. The 69 does not have the heater hose bracket on the Passenger side cover. 440's in 69 were painted engine color street Hemi Orange and just as the 383 Chrome versions with no bracket.

In my case for my fairly early build 69, I deducted that with no hole in the fender for the heater hose bracket "Dimple only" from the factory in the normal spot, I used the 67/68 variant. Most likely wrong, but that is my reasoning!
