Cool dude
Why is it some solid cams will have say .011 lash and others call for .22 or more?
Is it the shape of the ramp that determines lash?
I have heard of guys adding or subtracting a little lash from the specs called for to more finely tune the engine. Like a few degrees.
I worked for a guy and the Vette I was working on idled rough and you could barely here the tapping of the solid cam. He told me to add a few thou of lash. It ran smoother and you could then hear that nice solid cam sound. It really helped by, basically removing some duration.
I guess this could be done in reverse also, tightening a little, to add a little duration.
Just something I was thinking about.
