just got the cam i'm going to be running on my 4 barrel build. the recommended mopar springs arent listed in the catalog anymore. (p4120249) does anybody know a good spring to use? i think i heard that springs from a 340 will work? anyone know part #s?

duration: 268
lift: 460
solid lifters

DD will tell you that anything more than what is required to close the valve at a given PRM is too much, contributes to premature wear and causes too much friction. That being said, alot of people run the 340 springs.
What RPM are you shooting for with this motor?

i'm a dork....
just double checked the mopar perf. catalog, and that spring is still there. sorry

i would love to spin it over 10k, but being a carburated, pushrod, inline, oldschool, etc... anything over 6k will probably kill it. maybe lightweight valve gear will help? custom roller lifter cam setup? out of budget for sure...

not looking to set any land speed records, just want a fun street machine.
