I have 3 different types of valve stem seals in my rebuild kit! 8 of each set. so 24 total. I guess intake and exhaust gets different seals as one sucks and one blows? The ones that came off the head were all the same style though. Not sure which ones to put on, the directions are confusing and vague.

any help is appreciated!!

.............big go on big valves, small on small valves.... these the umbrella type.....u may also have the positive type intake seals that clip onto the intake guide...kim........

I would run the umbrella seals all the way around on a street motor. The viton seals work better for oilite bronze guides, but they don't allow enough oiling for stock guides.

It has been a little while, but I kind of recall that some sets I got had 16 identical umbrella seals. I think you can use the larger exhaust ones on the intakes as well.
